Welcome to EVERY BODY

I believe that Yoga is for EVERY BODY. I recognize that we find strength in the diversity of our community and through understanding diverse experiences in our community. I embrace people of all races, sizes, ages, ability levels, religions, nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities and socio-economic backgrounds. I pledge to support our community by actively bringing yoga and yoga therapy to members of the community with less access, and through a sliding scale model, making services available to all.

Yoga is my humble offering to the collective healing of the world. I stand with all of the individuals and organizations working for Equity and Healing in our society. This is why we offer our teachings both with one-on-one sessions and group sessions, so everyone can learn in the space they feel the most comfortable in.

What People Are Saying

“Alexis is a wonderful teacher, accessible to those new to yoga or to those wanting to continue or deepen a practice. She gives very clear instructions and checks in with each student before class to see if there are any special requests. I always feel better after a class and especially enjoy the guided meditations she offers at the end.”

Land Acknowledgement Statement

I recognize that my home is built within the ancestral homelands of the Pocumtuc and Nipmuc people. I acknowledge and practice in gratitude to their Ancestors and their current stewardship for the land I reside and work on. The Pocumtuc and Nipmuc had connections here for millennia, are part of a vast expanse of Algonqiuan relations. I recognize our Present-day neighboring Indigenous people that continue to persevere as sovereign nations: the Nipmuc and the Wampanoag to the East, the Mohegan and Pequot to the South, the Mohican to the West, and the Abenaki to the North.

I express gratitude for nearby waters and surrounding lands, I recognize these lands and waters as important Relations with which we are all interconnected and depend on to sustain life and well being.

One way I demonstrate this acknowledgment is by paying reparations to the Nipmuc Indian Development Corporation through the Western Mass chapter of SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice). You can find out more about, support, and donate here.
